OUR COMMITMENTS
Privacy and human-support commitments
Trust should rest on specifics, not adjectives. Here is exactly how we handle your information, your notes, your family’s involvement, and your accounts.
Your accounts stay yours
- We never ask for passwords, PINs, security codes, or account numbers — not during a session, not by phone, and not by email. Anyone claiming otherwise is not us.
- We do not log into your accounts on your behalf or set up accounts you have not agreed to. You type; we guide.
- We do not ask for payment in gift cards, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency.
Session notes
- Notes are limited to what makes a follow-up session useful: the task you worked on, the steps we wrote down, and what you would like to do next.
- We do not record sessions or keep copies of your personal documents.
- You may ask what we have on file, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. Call 410-984-9124 and we will handle it.
Family participation
- The session belongs to the person learning. They decide who attends and what is discussed.
- When an adult child arranges a session for a parent, we confirm directly with the parent that they want the help before it is scheduled.
- We do not share what happened in a session with a family member unless the client asks us to.
What we teach about privacy
Anything typed into an AI tool may be stored or reviewed by the company behind it. Part of every first session is reviewing the privacy settings on your own device and agreeing what you will keep out of a chat box. Our privacy checklist covers the same ground in writing.
Honest limits
- We provide technology education — not medical, legal, financial, or tax advice. We help you prepare questions for the right professional.
- AI tools make mistakes, including confident-sounding ones. We teach you to check anything important against a reliable source.
- Your AI Neighbor is an independent provider, not affiliated with or endorsed by AARP, OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, or any AI platform.
- Examples on this site are teaching scenarios unless a page explicitly states that a client shared their story with permission.
